Men’s Hair Care- a beginner’s guide to styling products

Hair Matters.

Truthfully, hair matters. Thickness, texture, style. All of it matters. Consider what finish you would like to have. Matte or shiny? Here are some must have grooming products depending on the look you crave. Gel: men with medium to thick hair for a firm hold and more control. Gel is great for creating mohawks, defined curls and sleek updo styles. Putty: Ideal for those with thin to thicker hair, wavy hair and all hair lengths. Putty gives a matte finish and is used when you need to achieve tousled, textured hairstyles with a strong hold. Pomade: waxy substance used for hair styling. Pomade usually last longer than any other hair styling product. Perfect for men with fine hair and or longer hair. It’s a light hold with plenty of shine. Wax: is a product known for it’s ability to mold and shape hair. Best used on wavy or thick hair and it gives hair that old school wet look too. Wax may not be the best choice because the alcohol dries out the hair. Paste: gives your hair a medium to very firm hold. Paste is also a natural matte finish and can add just a touch of shine. Past products are considered the most versatile and can be used for any hairstyle. Cream: used on coarse, textured, thick, thin hair. Mostly used on long and curly hair. Most universal styling product used for men is the hair gel. It holds, shines, and styles all hair types. Most popular and highly recommended men’s grooming products are the past and cream. Hair professionals are saying they are a must have at home for men. You can shop Amazon.com for some of the top-rated name brands on the market. I hope this was helpful to all you guys out there.
