Self-Care- Health and Beauty Matter!

To all of my followers, it’s been a while since I’ve posted. For several weeks the Covid-19 pandemic has been weighing heavy on my heart, and how it connects to the health and beauty industry. I started thinking more about self-care and why it’s so important.

Some obvious benefits are sleeping better, strengthening your immune system, improving your complexion, maintaining weight loss, thinking clearer, and staying focused. The more I think about it, the more I realize it all ties together. Being Healthy means you must take care of yourself first before you can take care of others. Self-care means paying attention to your needs and taking care of yourself means taking time out for just you, whether it’s more rest time, reading a book, spending quiet time alone to clear your head, getting a facial or manicure, or even watching an old movie.

When it comes to Beauty-, taking time out to get your hair or nails done, or maybe a pedicure for those tired feet!, can mean self-care as well. I am a firm believer that when you look and feel good on the outside, you feel good on the inside as well.

It’s up to you to take responsibility for your own health and well-being and practicing self-care is important. Nutrition is another good place to focus on. Feeding your body with an array of nutrients keeps your body healthy and gives you better skin.

For the New Year, I’m revamping my grocery list and prioritizing time spent on me! My hopes today are that this message reaches you well. Whether you decide to eat more greens or just book a massage at your local spa-, I wish that you stay well and practice good self-care. Beauty and health means taking care of yourself!
